Sweet paprika

The sweet paprika has been a relatively unknown vegetable for a long time. For the last few years though, the sweet paprika has become increasingly more popular. It’s not really hard to understand why the sweet paprika is appearing in more and more kitchens throughout Europe. First of all, it is the paprika with the most taste but it’s not a predominant flavour. Second of all sweet paprika is healthy. For every 100 grams, a sweet paprika can hold almost four times as much vitamin C as an orange. In 1996 SweetPoint started to move into the sweet paprika business and these days we have three cultivation locations in the Netherlands. With our winter cultivation sites in Spain we are capable of growing these delicious vegetables throughout the year.

Sweet paprika without additives

At SweetPoint we care deeply about our environment and the crops that we grow in it. All of our products are therefore grown almost without the use of chemical additives and we are bend on keeping by-products and residual flow at an absolute minimum. That is why do not discard a sweet paprika that is unfit for packaging. We use these peppers as ingredients for other delicious products such as our very own sweet paprika caviar. We use the syrup of discarded peppers to create a unique product that was actually in the finals of a prestigious Dutch food competition.
